Change-making reports

Clients like Built engage me to develop industry-shifting reports, often sharing their processes and intel with audiences for the first time to bring about change. This was the first time Built had invested in reports of this kind and the result sparked a significant and positive impact for this tier one construction company and the industry as a whole. Tone of Voice guides

The Digital Design and Experience team at Jobs Victoria invited me into the fold to help their digital platforms sound more human. One of the trickiest aspects of working in government is how to capture a tone of voice that speaks to people rather than processes. By capturing their values, I crafted a Tone of Voice guide that helped them sound like the legends they are. Find out more here.

Thought leadership

Urbis engages me to produce publications that promote and reflect its multi-disciplinary approach to place shaping. With over 30 different kinds of experts in-house (from economists to planners, heritage specialists to architects), I'm engaged to ensure printed and online content conveys Urbis' breadth of projects as well as the vast talent within this organisation. Case studies

I craft case studies for several clients. With Forge Works we established a new brand using existing expertise to achieve the unfathomable - making safety accessible and fun. Case studies are storytelling proof that shares how you work and what you've achieved for your clients. As well as being an excellent way to source client testimonials during interviews. Find out more here.

White papers

Collaborating with Caraniche at Work, we set out to research and write a white paper on the impact of family violence in workplaces. We developed a comprehensive report and practical set of resources for HR managers and organisations to better support colleagues. The sector responded immediately with a 260% increase in visits to the company website. Find out more here.

Industry books

This beautiful book tackles the social and economic impact of placemaking in Australia. I was engaged to research, write and project manage The Place Economy for Hoyne Design, sourcing and interviewing 44 experts worldwide, crafting their wisdom into essays, features, case studies, Q&As and photo stories. It was a blast and it's created a legacy. Internal communications

Our inboxes are teeming and our concentration levels cactus, particularly post-pandemic. Yet, information still needs to get through, particularly in the workplace. I've worked with clients such as AGL, Yarra Valley Water and Mercer to craft engaging internal content and stories that capture the hearts and minds of staff wherever they may be working.

Blog content

Whether it's B2B content for consumers, clients or customers, nearly all of my clients curate their expertise online. Blogs and e-newsletters are perfect for this. I've crafted blog content for software specialists Open Window, Ed-Tech company Lumination, large retail organisations like Australia Post and utilities such as Lumo Energy.

Annual reports

Each year, it's my pleasure to partner with organisations like the NRMA and Caraniche to produce annual reports and stand-alone story packages. Through interviews with staff and clients, I craft case studies, feature articles, profiles and Q&As weaving a narrative that conveys the year just gone, in a voice that appeals to diverse audiences of clients, staff, donors, supporters and philanthropists. Feature articles

As experts, several of my clients produce magazines and publications to engage with their broader community community. I've written feature articles on marine science, technology, transport, agriculture and education, often capturing innovation while profiling subject matter experts across Australia. I also write B2B articles for trade companies.

Legacy publications

Producing a 40th year anniversary publication for Mind Australia allowed me to see how a grass roots mental health organisation came to be an Australian leader in mental health services today. Working with the staff and CEO, I mined 40 years of board records, reports and publications, interviewing key players, past and present, to get to the heart of this organisation.

Speaker coaching

As an interviewer and corporate storyteller, I coached 30+ speakers ahead of the Place Leaders Asia Pacific Big Ideas on Place Conference, as part of the annual Vivid Sydney festival. In one-hour sessions, I helped speakers crystalise their presentation goals and wrote a pithy program summary designed to set each speaker apart.
